Kodus (the "app") is a sudoku game published by Antoine Gayoso, the data controller. Contact: kodusapp@gmail.com. This policy explains what data the app uses and how.
Kodus works without an account. The following information is stored locally, on your device (it is not sent to our servers, except for the online leaderboard described in section 2):
This local data stays on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
To offer a leaderboard between players, the app transmits and publicly displays the following:
This data is hosted by Supabase, within the European Union. Since your nickname and scores are public, choose a nickname that does not reveal any personal information.
Unlike local data, this data is not erased when you uninstall the app. To delete it, email us at kodusapp@gmail.com.
Kodus shows optional, reward-based ads that are triggered only by you (for example, to earn a life or a token). They are provided by Google AdMob.
To serve these ads, Google may process certain data from your device, including: your advertising identifier, IP address, in-app interactions and technical (diagnostic) data. Google acts as an independent third party; its processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and "How Google uses data".
We do not use any other analytics or tracking service.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent screen appears at first launch. You can refuse personalised ads without limiting access to the game.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Privacy options" entry in the app settings.
Local data is kept until you uninstall the app or manually clear its data from your phone settings. Leaderboard data is kept on the server until you request its deletion. For data processed by Google, please refer to Google's policy.
Kodus is not intended for and is not specifically directed at children under 13.
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection. For game data that stays on your device, you exercise these rights directly by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. For online leaderboard data (server), deletion is available on request at kodusapp@gmail.com. For data processed by Google, contact Google or use your device's advertising settings (reset your advertising identifier).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell your data. Sharing data with Google for advertising purposes may qualify as "sharing" under California law; you can limit it by declining ad consent and resetting your advertising identifier.
